Additional Info
I was emplyed by Worcester Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (WRASASC) for 3 years as a supervisor and trainer. This enabled me to undergo extensive training with eating disorders, OCDs, self-harm and PTSD.
I have also worked as a volunteer counsellor for Cruse Bereavement Service as part of my placement during my Counselling training. I am now a volunteer Clinical Hypnotherapist for the National Phobics Society (NPS)
My extensive training and practical experience has enabled me to work successfully with a wide range of problems. I adopt a holistic approach to therapy, adapting to the needs of the client.
I incorporate other therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) as an adjunct to Hypnotherapy. The Department of Health supports the use of CBT based on evidence of its effectiveness with bulimia, depression, chronic pain and fatigue (www.doh.gov.uk)
