In common with many Complementary Therapies in the UK, the Hypnotherapy profession is self-regulated.
However, on 1st December 2010, some of the professional associations for hypnotherapy were accepted by the Department of Health endorsed Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), the UK regulator for complementary healthcare.
Maggie Dunn, Chief Executive of the CNHC, said: “The Department of Health has also recently urged GPs to recommend to their patients that they use CNHC registered practitioners.”
We therefore only accept practitioners who are actively registered with the CNHC or who are full members of one of the following registering Hypnotherapy associations recognised by the CNHC:
- National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH)
- The Hypnotherapy Association (HA)
- The British Institute of Hypnotherapy (BIH)
