The Hypnotherapy Register ::Hypnotherapy associationsIn common with many Complementary Therapies in the UK, the Hypnotherapy profession is self-regulated. The 2000 report by Mills and Budd for the Department of Health identified seventeen bodies in the UK representing Hypnotherapists, of which five were part of the UK Confederation of Hypnotherapy Organisations (UKCHO), an umbrella organisation for the profession in the UK. Not all of the Hypnotherapy associations in existence meet these aims, so at present we will only list a practitioner if they are a current member of a Hypnotherapy association under UKCHO, who is now a leading voice in the drive towards regulation in the profession.
